The Dragon’s Gate is a destination for weddings, luxury glamping, and wild swimming in Garway, Herefordshire. Blending rustic charm with refined design, the venue offers couples an exclusive “blank canvas” to create bespoke celebrations across The Great Barn, lakeside meadows, and luxury woodland cabins.

Owners Bill and Cheryl approached Hague & Gray, a creative web agency and design studio based in Herefordshire, to create a professional brochure that would capture the venue’s character, authentic, natural, and romantic, while clearly communicating packages, accommodation, and flexibility. Their goal was to replace text-heavy materials with a visually refined, easy-to-navigate format that appealed to modern couples seeking both style and substance.

Our approach

We approached the project as both a branding and marketing design brief, treating the brochure as a sales tool and a brand asset. Working from The Dragon’s Gate’s tone, imagery, and copy, we developed a clean, editorial layout with warm typography and natural tones that mirrored the surrounding landscape.

Each section was crafted to tell a story, from The Great Barn and The Farm through to Luxury Glamping Cabins, helping readers visualise the setting and flow of their day. Practical details such as package breakdowns, pricing options, and accommodation information were paired with emotive photography and a balanced graphic structure to combine inspiration with clarity.
